Diplomacy (...Not What I Thought It Was)

It all started as a simple wish
I had my expectations held high
When she beckoned the green light
As I was not expecting it that night

First I thought it was happening
I never knew I was day dreaming
It took me weeks to stop seeing
The harsh reality of my own making

She’s the first to see my birth suit
The very moment I decided to choose
Between my honor and her tools
With an offer where I can roost

Hours after such monumental reverie
I found myself on the edge of my balcony
Trying to understand the essence of purity
If I could once again be breezy

I did savor the emotions of her joke
Then I realized it was nothing but a code
Just like a mad dog chasing after cars
Whose heart is full of remarkable scars

***Dedicated to everyone who has suffered “heartbreaks and false hopes” – wake up and be strong!

Eternity (...It's a long RIDE, No Stopovers)

I am a reflection of a single mom
Taught never to abuse godly norm
No matter the whims from the raging storm
I must not deform myself to conform

To the side attractions of this age
As there will be more vices to engage
In order not to be locked in the cage
Of a New World Order of sacrilege

Many have forgotten the song of eternity
Most governments have legalized immorality
Some say it is the new social rationality
Even in the face of an emerging bestiality

If the prophecies are meant to be
No one can avert them by a decree
As they were given to us to foresee
An eternal journey after our earthly jamboree

Everyone on earth has an exit date
The song of eternity is not to berate
Authorities who want the faithfuls to hate
Humanity for trying to legislate their fate

I dedicate this poem to everyone on this planet called EARTH, I am not a preacher and I am not a priest but ETERNITY is a long-timeless RIDE where earthly mistakes cannot be adjusted -- do what you can now to avoid a damnable eternity.

One Out Of Many (...True Story)

My quest to study in Europe
Was more like a long rope
Long before I met with hope
At the edge of the curvy slope

Then I appeared in a neighborhood
Stranded inside-out without a hood
I became receptive to my own mood
Of how I could get a foothold

In a city where I sought for charity
Instead I got a noble opportunity
That restored my faith in humanity
By one man’s act of generosity

Whom I have given nothing
Even after giving me everything
He still maintains a classy attitude
Regardless of my continuous gratitude

Altar Call..."Only God Calls - John 6:44"

It does not seem like a long walk
If you are in tune with the talk
Not ashamed of the lengthy mile
As you walk down along the aisle

Such calls come in different forms
A single whisper that stills the storms
One glorious step to turn a new leaf
That relieves your soul in a brief

A sacred call many have ignored
For a new life meant to be endured
In longsuffering but with a reward
Greater than any prize in this world

The preacher is not the game changer
He stands on the altar as a messenger
Of the Almighty God who can remake
Every lost soul for His name sake

Eternity with Christ Jesus is the goal
A promised home above without a toll
At the point of entry into heaven
As we ride in glory as His chosen

The Abandoned Hero

Forcefully pushed aside for another
After parting ways with his brother
Deserted and mocked by the public
At the time his name became iconic
As his legend spread across the republic

Decades before he became a hero
He was celebrated as a feeble
In the land of his predecessors
Regarded as the root of his ancestors
By those considered as his oppressors

His eyes were like a burning gleed
When the elders read out the creed
He was ready to give up his life
Stunned as he was asked to take a bride
So as to relieve him of his plight

Even the gods couldn’t stop his enthronement
His ascension to the throne was prominent
Dressed and addressed as His Royal Majesty
Heads and knees bowed to his dignity
And he reigned in love and honesty
