It does not seem
like a long walk
If you are in
tune with the talk
Not ashamed of
the lengthy mile
As you walk down
along the aisle
Such calls come
in different forms
A single whisper
that stills the storms
One glorious step
to turn a new leaf
That relieves
your soul in a brief
A sacred call
many have ignored
For a new life
meant to be endured
In longsuffering
but with a reward
Greater than any
prize in this world
The preacher is
not the game changer
He stands on the
altar as a messenger
Of the Almighty
God who can remake
Every lost soul
for His name sake
Eternity with
Christ Jesus is the goal
A promised home
above without a toll
At the point of
entry into heaven
As we ride in
glory as His chosen
