Emotional Loopholes (...Learn To See With Your Heart)

It does please me to see how you expend every dime
On debasing my reputation instead of your own grime
Though I've consulted the god of time for my prime
That I may revel in the light of my inner sublime

It's true that you've got the appearance of an elder
But I wonder why you speak and behave like a toddler
You gloat every time over the demands of the needy
Yet you dine and wine in the same pool of necessity

The hypocrisy of the entire world is appalling
Everyone buys and sells that which is galling
Even though such trade is no longer appealing
To the folks who are dearly in need of healing

As many are being tossed and crushed beyond repairs
By the same system that might have enriched your coffers
Nobody needs the whole central bank to be generous
Or you can withhold everything and still be ravenous

Self Righteousness (...a tree is known by its fruits)

she walks like a strayed-pregnant cat
smiles at everyone she sets her eyes upon
flirts in the shadows with the unknowns
yet carries the holy book like her phones

she was branded queen of the night
a name she accepted without a fight
subjected herself to gossip and shame
all in the name of freedom and fame

the stench of her deed is unavoidable
behaviors considered inimical to life itself
are being patronized by the same crusaders
who now preach sanity with vile tongues

it's been eight years since she bowed out
her past is still trending on social media
perpetuated by some sanctimonious faces
who made fortunes from her way of life

The Merchant (...Never Toss A Coin In The Dark)

I thought I knew how to close a deal
Until I was asked to give up my last meal
For the sake of the unbreakable seal
Which was perceived as an inherent ordeal
By those who exuded love and goodwill
At the time it was just a collective spill

Money is a friend we all wish to have
A partial reflection of the other halve
Whose riches are hoarded in a hive
Where greed is the only desiring drive
Just to keep the spillover safe and alive
As many strive and struggle to survive

I have seen the corrosive powers money possess
A public exhibition vicious men do to depress
The spirits of those under financial duress
As though such ugly charade would address
World greatest gift of all as we always profess
In our daily hustles to make our lives a fortress

I will leave the arguments to the true philosophers
Whose words are consistently against the profiteers
That have taken the reins of the society like theirs
Knowing that the consequences of greed are fatal
In a world where affluenza is becoming legal
And yet the system wants everybody to be normal

***Dedicated to all true and honest hustlers, victims of financial troubles, and to all crusaders of love, equity, and justice -- I hear you all!!!

Diplomacy (...Not What I Thought It Was)

It all started as a simple wish
I had my expectations held high
When she beckoned the green light
As I was not expecting it that night

First I thought it was happening
I never knew I was day dreaming
It took me weeks to stop seeing
The harsh reality of my own making

She’s the first to see my birth suit
The very moment I decided to choose
Between my honor and her tools
With an offer where I can roost

Hours after such monumental reverie
I found myself on the edge of my balcony
Trying to understand the essence of purity
If I could once again be breezy

I did savor the emotions of her joke
Then I realized it was nothing but a code
Just like a mad dog chasing after cars
Whose heart is full of remarkable scars

***Dedicated to everyone who has suffered “heartbreaks and false hopes” – wake up and be strong!

Eternity (...It's a long RIDE, No Stopovers)

I am a reflection of a single mom
Taught never to abuse godly norm
No matter the whims from the raging storm
I must not deform myself to conform

To the side attractions of this age
As there will be more vices to engage
In order not to be locked in the cage
Of a New World Order of sacrilege

Many have forgotten the song of eternity
Most governments have legalized immorality
Some say it is the new social rationality
Even in the face of an emerging bestiality

If the prophecies are meant to be
No one can avert them by a decree
As they were given to us to foresee
An eternal journey after our earthly jamboree

Everyone on earth has an exit date
The song of eternity is not to berate
Authorities who want the faithfuls to hate
Humanity for trying to legislate their fate

I dedicate this poem to everyone on this planet called EARTH, I am not a preacher and I am not a priest but ETERNITY is a long-timeless RIDE where earthly mistakes cannot be adjusted -- do what you can now to avoid a damnable eternity.

One Out Of Many (...True Story)

My quest to study in Europe
Was more like a long rope
Long before I met with hope
At the edge of the curvy slope

Then I appeared in a neighborhood
Stranded inside-out without a hood
I became receptive to my own mood
Of how I could get a foothold

In a city where I sought for charity
Instead I got a noble opportunity
That restored my faith in humanity
By one man’s act of generosity

Whom I have given nothing
Even after giving me everything
He still maintains a classy attitude
Regardless of my continuous gratitude

Altar Call..."Only God Calls - John 6:44"

It does not seem like a long walk
If you are in tune with the talk
Not ashamed of the lengthy mile
As you walk down along the aisle

Such calls come in different forms
A single whisper that stills the storms
One glorious step to turn a new leaf
That relieves your soul in a brief

A sacred call many have ignored
For a new life meant to be endured
In longsuffering but with a reward
Greater than any prize in this world

The preacher is not the game changer
He stands on the altar as a messenger
Of the Almighty God who can remake
Every lost soul for His name sake

Eternity with Christ Jesus is the goal
A promised home above without a toll
At the point of entry into heaven
As we ride in glory as His chosen
